2025 Scholarship Recipients

October 7, 2025 By MM admin

Message from Dianna Groskreutz, Board Scholarship Contact:

The Board and I, would like to take a moment to thank the three people who reviewed the applications. They are Craig Nelson, Sandy Quantum, and Brooke Ohlde (Stamm). Having reviewed them in the past it is a tough job. It was especially tough this year with 11 applicants. The most I’ve seen. When the scores came in, they were close. Thank you, to all who applied and remember you can apply again in 6 months!

The 2025 MMCI Scholarship Recipients

This year there are two MMCI Scholarship recipients.

Rachel Laleman

Rachel Laleman is the first recipient of a MMCI Scholarship. She received a MMCI Scholarship in 2024, too. She is from San Antonio, TX. Rachel is attending the University of Texas at Austin. She is majoring in Neuroscience and hopes to attend medical school. Her goal is to work in neurology. Rachel’s passion is to learn about the human nervous systems and help those who suffer from neural diseases to achieve a higher quality of life. Also, she wants to research certain diseases and alleviate pain of those suffering. As a doctor, she wants to prevent, provide palliative care, and raise awareness for neurological diseases. Rachel was nominated by her grandfather, Richard Laleman.

Ryan Bender

Ryan Bender is the second recipient of a MMCI Scholarship. He is from Canal Winchester, OH. Ryan will be attending Ohio University for mechanical engineering. He’s always loved math and fascinated by how machines work. He hopes to develop more precise machines with the hope of innovating new technologies. Since Ryan has been fascinated by trains, his goal is to work in the railroad industry specializing in efficiency and safety. Ryan has a personal goal which he stated is “One of my greatest joys is farming hay with my grandfather using our Minneapolis-Moline tractors. I plan to continue my small hay business, as working in the fields and producing a crop each season is rewarding. I also want to pass my grandfather’s legacy onto future generations.” Ryan was nominated by his grandfather, Larry Kahle.

The 2025 Dale Laedtke Scholarship Recipient

Abbigail Koehler

The 2025 recipient of the Dale Laedtke Scholarship is Abbigail Koehler of Aurora, MO. Abbigail will be attending Ozarks Technical Community College for diesel mechanics and taking the remaining ASE certification exams. Abbigail’s career goal is to gain practical experience by working for an established company. Her long-term goal is to pursue leadership opportunities in the industry, like working for the family, or running her own shop. Abbigail was nominated by her mom, Jennifer Koehler.
